Educational Slide Presentation
The program consists of a custom presentation illustrated with slides. The pilot demonstrates with the students how balloons work and what can be achieved by the use of different types of balloons. (Topics that can be presented include the history of ballooning, local Connecticut and New England aeronautics, the effect of weather, mechanics of modern ballooning both hot air and gas, and learning to fly balloons. The presentation of the program is customizable to any subject students are currently studying to complement your current curriculum or something to challenge their creativity and imagination.
We then use an actual hot air balloon for the demonstration where students and teachers help hands-on to prepare and set up the balloon.
The live demonstration may be presented outdoors weather permitting — if not we can cold inflate the balloon only inside the gymnasium.
